New Heights, the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app's program for middle school students hosted at schools throughout the country, is now in its tenth year in partnership with Marymount School of New York. The 2025 edition, New Heights X: Memory Manifested, invited eighth-grade students to spend a full week exploring the history and development of New York City’s architecture. Through hands-on activities, walking tours, and urban sketching sessions, students examined how the built environment has evolved, and applied those lessons to a final project: designing a pavilion for Central Park. This year’s program placed special emphasis on the idea that the buildings around us are shaped by a series of decisions made by architects, which ultimately reflect the values, principles, and aspirations of our society as a whole.
